January 17th, 2008 by admin
The Ollie is a basic skateboarding trick, and is the root for further tricks like the kickflip, heel flip, and other moves.
The tips below will help you, but we’ve arranged a special e-book for our readers to make sure they can do this properly
Doing it on your own, with this book is difficult, and you may not be as good as you can be.
So we reccomend you pick it up here. It’s cheap, and gives awesome instructions. It will teach you how to ollie, and is MUCH FASTER.
How To Ollie
- Move the front foot towards the center of the skate board.
- Quickly Drag your front foot up the grip tape on the front of the board, while pushing down on the tail.
- As you execute step 2, attempt to jump with the board. The as the tail hits the pavement, it should be completely airborne.
- The front foot should be dragging the skateboard further into the air.
- As the skateboarder reaches their capacity for moving their front foot forward, the board should even out.
- When Landing, bend your knees to absorb the impact.
This is a good basic Skateboard trick. Next, we’ll get into how to kickflip, and how to heelflip.
