The manual is a skateboard trick where you put your wait on the front or back of the board, causing one set of wheels to go into the air, and the other set to remain on the ground. Easier than the ollie. A good basic trick to learn when beginning.
  3. The 50-50 Grind
This Trick is the act of ollieing onto a rail, and riding down it with the nose pointed forwards, and the rear trucks on the pole.
  4. The Kick Flip
A more difficult trick, the kickflip is an ollie, following by kicking the board in a certain way where it spins around once horizontally. We’ll have a tutorial on this soon.

How to Ollie Stairs

How to Ollie StairsThe Ollie is a basic skateboarding trick, but to ollie down stairs takes considerable skill. We do NOT recommend you try to do this unless you’re 100% positive you’re ready and you’re wearing the proper skateboard padding and a helmet. We are not responsible if you get hurt.
You have to have a super high ollie to do this.
It’s also a good idea to start with curbs or blocks of wood before going to the real deal.

If you want to learn how to do this quickly, we reccomend you pick up a copy of “Skateboard Secrets“. It’s an awesome guide for perfecting your tricks and preventing injury. Without it, this could take a long time to master. Pick it up here!

How to Ollie Stairs
Gather a significant amount of speed. The more stairs there are, the more speed you need to have in order to get your skateboard over them.
when you’re approximately 6-12 inches away from the stairs(depending on speed), begin your ollie.
Pull your knees and the board towards your chest to give you the most distance between you and the stairs, and the most time to land the skateboard trick.
Keep your shoulders in line with the board. Otherwise, the board will pivot and it will hurt.
As you get closer to the land, extend your legs slightly, but keep your knees bent to absorb the impact.
When landing, keep your feet on the strongest points of the board to avoid breaking it. It is acceptable to land on the rear trucks if you cannot manage to get the board perfectly level.

  2. Quickly Drag your front foot up the grip tape on the front of the board, while pushing down on the tail.
  3. As you execute step 2, attempt to jump with the board. The as the tail hits the pavement, it should be completely airborne.
